I created the nonprofit corporation back in 2016 for my seven children who are all very talented. Being a single parent, I was very concerned about what they would be exposed to or how they would be handled in the entertainment industry. So, I decided to create a production company where I can oversee where and what they would perform at events in the area.

 

I always found that the kids in the neighborhood, wherever we lived, loved being around my family and wanted to be part of our events because they loved the positive energy that our family gave. Many of the kids had a difficult home environment and being part of our events was their way of getting a break from that. This moved me to want to provide this for all the youths in the area and give them a positive, fun, exciting and safe environment to express their creative talents. Since then, no matter where we lived, I would create events for the kids to have fun, express their creativity, and perform in a safe environment. I understand how important it is for youths to be able to express themselves and feel free to do so. It is also important to help them to understand the proper way of releasing negative emotions and dance helps in that way tremendously. 

 

Here in the Bloomington area, I see that a lot of events do not cater to the youth of the community in the performing arts industry. It seems to be limited only in the local schools and dance studios. Most of the dance studios' performances and competitions happen outside of the Bloomington area. This is what Raining Talent Productions Corp wants to bring to Bloomington; events that the youth and the public can participate in. From themed events, to dance competitions, and talent shows. I think this will create a stronger community, as well as confidence in the youths of Bloomington to support their dreams and passions.
